Matters arising
F Edward outlined the plan of works to the Stravithie Bridge. It will be closed from 21 August for up to two weeks, with traffic being diverted by the B940 (Kingsmuir Crossroads/Drumrack to Higham Toll). The meeting felt that additional signage would be needed at the end of the Peekie road for local traffic, and at the E end of the Lathokar Road. She assured the meeting that the 4 gully pots are being renewed, and that signage and white lines would be designed to try to minimise accidents as traffic speeds up after the lights are removed. There was some concern for traffic coming onto the road at near bye houses for this reason, and it is hoped that site lines can be made as clear as possible. The work should be finished by mid September.

Flooding at Cardean.. Recent heavy rain has once again caused problems. The authorities are being made aware each time this happens, but the basic problem of the drains inability to cope remains. A new drain at the Kenlygreen steading may help to reduce the amount of water flowing down to the main road.

R Pegden reported on the condition of the Dunino footbridge. The supporting RSJs are in poor state, and the foot boards are buckled, but it looks reasonably safe at present. PCD said that additional money towards its repair may be available from the Locality Budget.

No progress on the replacement notice board, although there had been attempts to source one locally. LR has spoken to the Locality Manager regarding getting the area around the recycling bins tarmaced.

The applicant is appealing the Sunnybraes planning application decision.

The response to the Structure Plan and Local Plan was discussed briefly. It was agreed that all golf courses around St Andrews should be included in any green belt.

There is no more information on the University feasibility study for wind turbines at Upper Kenly.
