Matters arising
An e mail update from F Edward on works to the Stravithie Bridge indicated that the work is nearly complete, and that signage to slow traffic is still under review. Rumble strips are not an option at this location. LR to inquire if the repair to the camber on the N side of the bridge is being carried out.

The damaged parapet at Kenlygreen lodge should be repaired shortly.

St Andrews Bay plans for holiday homes seem to have been shelved for now.

Flooding at Cardean.. No problems in the recent dry weather.

Dunino footbridge – no progress.

Notice board – under construction by N Durie.

Work to concrete the area around the recycling bins is in hand.

LR is trying to obtain info on the Neighbourhood Watch Scheme for the next meeting.

S Raeside has indicated that he would like to stand down from the Chairmanship at the next opportunity.

The Planning Appeal for the Sunnybraes application is underway, and the Reporter, Mr G Michael M Thomson will visit the site on Thursday 12 October, at 12 noon. Someone from the Community Council should be there to answer any questions he may have.

University Principal Brian Lang had replied to our request for info on the feasibility study for wind turbines at Upper Kenly by directing us to www.st-andrews.ac.uk/estates/envutilities.html for further info (see report entitled “Renewable Site Assessment North Haugh Campus and Upper Kenly Farm” link).

LR to enquire whether the blue litter bin opposite Gourlay Terrace could be exchanged for a less conspicuous black one, and placed next to the grit bin, and also what is the time scale for painting/replacing the lamp posts.
